5.0 out of 5 stars Great so far, March 23, 2011

Just got delivery of the Lasermax Uni-Max Micro. Have it for a springfield sub-compact. First this thing is small and easy to install. Laser appears to be as bright as it needs to be in low light conditions. In full sun, not as good, but manageable.

After install it appeared to be slightly off based on iron sights, did a very slight adjustment and took it out for a couple shots. From about 10 yards away laser was spot on. Will do an update after some more intense shooting, but so far looks like a great purchase. Now need to find a holster that will accommodate pistol with this attachment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outrageously good for its size and price., April 13, 2011

This is my second Lasermax Uni Micro I purchased from Amazon. That has to tell you something about how I feel about this little unit. I installed the first one following the instructions to use the iron sights for initial alignment. This was put on a Beretta PX4 Storm Sub-Compact. (First time shooting the targeting was perfect.) After 100 9mm rounds fired at the range the unit was only slightly off the original setting which they say is to be expected.
The second unit was placed on a Springfield 45 XD with a 4 inch bbl. This unit did not deviate one iota after 100 rounds fired at the range. Now don't expect this LASER to be visible in bright sunlight, that's what you have iron sights for. In dim light or at night, if you forgive the expression, you will be dead on target.

4.0 out of 5 stars I'd bet my life on this product., August 28, 2011

I bought this tiny Laser 6 or 8 months ago and have mounted it on 6 or so different 9mm pistols I was considering for purchase. In all cases mounting took seconds and with factory settings the POI was close enough to the POA at 10 yards that I didn't need to adjust the laser. Typically I'd shoot 2-300 rounds on these trials to get a feel for the weapon. At no time did I detect drift in the laser settings or any switch or Laser failures. Typically after a couple of mags I'd tighten the mounting screw 1/4 turn or so but I never had problems with the mount coming loose.
Subsequently I purchased a Tanfoglio Witness in 9mm (a clone of the full frame CZ) and mounted the Lasermax on it. I've since put 2,000+ rounds through the Witness all factory loads at maximum standard pressure with no Laser issues. I zeroed the Laser at 10 yds, a realistic defensive range and have not needed adjustment. Because the Laser is about 1" below the barrell the POI will be a little low or high at shorter... Read more
