In the winter, spring and fall seasons it works great. It does not irritate my skin or make me itchy like some of the other reviews state.Knowing it was a MUCH thicker rash guard with thermal layering, I bought one size bigger than what I wear in a regular rash guard. It fits like a glove and dries very fast after getting out of the water and my wetsuit. Anyone who surfs knows that you definitely don't want a loose thermo layer, it won't keep you insulated if it's loose. I do agree that they run a size smaller than what your normal clothing size is. This year, I am upgrading to the O'Neill 13-ounce Thermo-X L/S Crew thanks to my friends bragging how warm they are in the winter water. The water has been in the mid to low 50's and the 8-ounce O'Neill Thermo-X L/S Crew has served me well. I usually am in the water for about 3 hours at a time, a few times a week. He really likes the fit, comfort and warmth of this shirt. Very well made product, This review is from: O'Neill Men's Thermo Short Sleeve Crew (Apparel) I've worn this brand of rash guard for 4 years now, and can honestly say for my purpose, it is of superb quality. I wear it for my aqua aerobics class which takes place in an outside pool that runs year round. It gets very cold in the winter months (17-32 degrees) and this guard keeps me warm and toasty while pulling in the heat the sun provides each day. During the past year, this product was moved from production in one country to another with the results being an even better product, more light weight, longer lasting with less drag once it is wet and begins to lose shape. You could not ask for a better product for aqua aerobics classes. |
