It as a nightmare. One of the first things I did was make sure if another pipe broke on my water heater it would not flood my house. This drain pan was one of the things I bought and placed under my new water heater along with a drain hole that would take water out of my house rather than all over my floors inside. I have peace of mind with this and I found it on Amazon.com when I had a hard time finding this product anywhere to fit my water heater Amazon did have it this is an awesome website.I have not had a pipe break again but if I do I can rest assured it will not do the damage that was done before.
