Stretch Knit Polyester Dust Mite & Allergy Control Twin 12-inch Deep Pocket Mattress Protector allows you to encase your mattress as an integral part of your allergy prevention solution. 100% polyester is laminated to a urethane membrane which is an effective barrier to dust mites and allergens. The weave of the fabric, which is a circular knit polyester, has a satin like feel and is very smooth and cool to the touch. It is latex free, water proof and is made in the USA. The twin size measures 39 by 75-inch and is easy care machine wash and dry.

Like many, I have an overstuffed duvet that leaks feathers and I also have a mild allergy. There are other highly rated covers that are cotton based that are significantly more expensive than this model. However, I just wanted a good cover to throw into another cover (i.e. one that looks nicer and feels nice). This fits that built just fine as it holds in the feathers and I haven't woken up to any scratchy eyes. If you're looking to use this as the main cover (i.e. sleep directly under it) -- it's probably not for you and you should pay a few bucks more for a cotton model. That can lead to feeling uncomfortably warm/sweaty in the middle of the night or by the morning. I will be trying to find a cover that's more breathable than this cover, which has a rubbery layer on the inside of the cover. Alternatively, you may want to try a lighter comforter on the inside. |
