4.0 out of 5 stars Switches Easily Back & Forth, May 19, 2011

First - I rarely give all 5 stars for anything. So don't read too much into that. Next - some "bike snobs" may say this isn't the best pump in the world. That may be true for them. For me (with 3 bikes now) it works great for at least 3 reasons.

#1 being it's easy to switch over from a Schrader valve to a Presta valve. Just slide a lever back & forth to change. #2 the longer hose means better "reachability". No more bending over so far with my arthritic back. #3 it just plain works. Set the red arrow at what air pressure you need, place the air chuck firmly on the valve, lift the lever & pump away. What could be easier? One of my bikes uses Schrader valves. The other 2 take Presta valves. Works good on all 3. Use this pump several times a week as I have NO car.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Pump For The Price!, November 30, 2011

I picked this up at Wally World the other day- and I am quite impressed. For twenty bucks, it's got a metal barrel; it feels pretty sturdy (Not like it's gonna fall apart when you use it); It's large/tall, so you don't have to stoop; On the pressure gauge, it's got a red dial indicator you can set at the desired pressure you want, and just pump until the black needle lines up with the read, and you have your desired pressure.

Works great on presta valves, without damaging them!(A rare feat among pumps these days)- and not too shabby on schrader valves too. It'll pump up a 700c bicycle tire in just a few strokes, and it is easy to pump. I also used it to top up my motorscooter's tires, and even to add 25 lbs. to the tire on my van that has a slow leak (It took a lot of pumping and about 5 minutes...but it was easy-pumping!)

In short, you can not go wrong with this pump- and switching from presta to schrader is a snap! Best design I've seen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality build, easy to use., September 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Zefal Floor Pump (Sports)
This pump is a great deal for the price. The "Z Switch" technology (a small plastic slider on the nozzle that allows you to switch between Presta and Schrader valve interfaces)is a stroke of genius; most pumps make you deal with screwing on cumbersome adapters, and this is a VERY welcome alternative. The pump is light, ver sturdy, features a prominent gauge that is easy to read, and pumps up quickly (I have a road bike and pump my tires up to 110 psi, and this pump does the job quickly and easily). Only reason I didn't give the product 5 stars? It's a bit difficult to remove the nozzle from the valve when finished pumping. A useful technique is to use two hands when removing the nozzle; this makes it much less of a problem, but it is worth noting, especially for people who may not be very strong.
