Overall, the pads are great. They are sturdy and will protect your child when or if they fall. However, my son is skinny, therefore, he swims in these pads. The elbow pads, if worn as elbow pads, cover his whole arm and they look extremely huge on his small body. Therefore, the elbow pads fit better as knee pads. The knee pads will also work for his knees, so I guess he got two sets of knee pads for Christmas. I gave the pad set three stars because I feel they could have been more specific in the description of the product, however, they are very protective of my sons knees. This review is from: Razor Pro Pad Set - Choose Size (Sports) This package indicates that it is for ages 8+ but it is really an adult size. My 9 year old son is what you would call "husky" build, and the elbow pads work for him as knee pads and the knee pads would fit me. Disappointed in the size, but overall the product seems like it will do the trick. This review is from: Razor Pro Pad Set - Choose Size (Sports) I bought these pads because they were cheap in price. I got them and was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the pads is pretty good. I did take off one star because I took a chance on the size, the pads were meant for a costume for my son. They're a little bigger than they should be on him. But couldn't tell from the web page just how big they were. I may use them after Halloween to do projects around the house when having to crawl on my knees to fix something. Will be perfect then.
