Not only do they fit well and are made well, they work well. I purchased these to use for surfing to help keep my feet warm in the cold California ocean water. I was given a hard time because these were not "surfing shoes" and were not made by Oneil or one of the other well known companies. Well, in your face everyone. The boots have great soals and grip well on the surf board and the added velcro strap helps keep water out of the shoe, which is the major complaint from most of my friends about their shoes even though they were $50 more then the ones I have. Great bang for your buck....highly recommended. They are well made, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: NeoSport Wetsuits Paddle Hi Top Boots (Apparel) I got these booties for paddling outrigger canoes. Monterey Bay is quite cool, especially during winter, and I needed something to help keep my feet from freezing because we get wet up to our thighs just launching the boats. These boots will not keep the water out if the top gets submerged, unless you have incredibly large ankles. Unless you put your foot up to drain them, the water will remain in there because there is a sealed flap inside the zipper. 3mm is not that thick, and to be honest these are not keeping my feet warm. Even after draining the water your foot is surrounded by wetness that never seems to warm up. I think the neoprene is too thin to keep out the cold, but it is better than being barefooted. They are well made, fit really well (size 12), have great traction, and are a great deal for the price. If you really need warmth look at thicker boots and maybe the fleece lined ones. |
