 sigh... a sabre tip IS just folded metal, By This review is from: Physical Chess complete practice fencing sabre (Misc.) I haven't ordered a sabre from these guys but I was just a little surprised to read the other review...previous comment ::: might need to by a rubber tip as the tip is just folded metal....???! are you a sabreur???? that is what a sabre blade has for a tip (ask your coach...plsplspls) ..... you DON'T put a rubber tip on the end of a sabre blade.... if you need to do so then it is probbly a foil blade, not a sabre blade.... sounds like one of the standard chinese type guards that has a painted metal inside to make it an electric sabre guard..... all you need is a foil socket and a piece of wire and you have a working electric sabre (mind you an insulated pommel might be a good idea unless yu want to lose yuor bouts [at electric sabre of course that is]) 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Nothing like the picture, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Physical Chess complete practice fencing sabre (Misc.) I was so excited to receive my sabre so i could begin practicing again but when i opened the package i discovered it was not one bit the same as the picture. The handle was a different color and the inside of the gaurd was painted a navy sparkly blue and the paint was chiping. It was not what i was expecting and if i had known it was going to turn out this way i would have ordered from someone else. Other than that it is a completely functional practice sabre except you might want to buy some rubber tips as the tip on this is just folded metal. |
