Great album. Delivered on time. But only the first half.... With no date on the second half being released.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why doesn't Amazon require track listing on all products?, August 16, 2010

I have recently started buying vinyls. Since a record isn't customizable, I try to find LP's of albums I enjoy all to most of the music on the product. I have found that Amazon is bigamist against vinyl so when I am able to find an LP I am interested in purchasing, I find myself looking up the CD version for a track listing. That has been fine, annoying, but not that big of a deal until now. I am religious about reading ratings, but this was the one time. I knew I would like the Carter 3 bc I have tired it since I got the bootleg in New Orleans so I didn't figure that I needed to read what some amateur that didn't like F. Baby had to say. And since most of the Amazon ratings so far that I have read about vinyl's examine strictly the music's value not the product being bought, it seems almost like a waste of time to read the ratings. This time, I should have. Like everyone else has said, its half the album! It says vol. 1 but nothing explains this on the product description. I feel... Read more

    4.0 out of 5 stars I'm not an expert..., February 26, 2009

...but, I feel like this is a really solid album. I can't stand most rap, and even some of Lil Wayne's earlier material I don't like. This album however I thought was very well constructed. Most of the beats are great, while his words (for the most part) are smart too. I can't stand the single "A Milli" though. The flow is great, but the tracking of "a milli a milli a milli a milli..." is just annoying. But again, I'm not an expert. Listen to the critics - album of the year.

This product gets 4 stars because some of the tracks could be a littler better, AND because I was foolish enough to not look and see that this is only half the album. I suppose the other 8 tracks will be released eventually on LP. Le sigh.
