Remember it is designed to reduce the risk of injury, not prevent it. And the mask should only be used for street /roller hockey with an official size 2 5/8 inch ball. It is not intended for ice hockey or roller hockey played witih a hard puck.

Love this mask!, February 6, 2012 By  Kim H - See all my reviews This review is from: Chicago Blackhawks Street Hockey Team Goalie Face Mask (Lawn & Patio) I found this mask for our 4 year old who hopes to be a goalie one day. He loves the Blackhawks and this mask looks like an NHL goalie mask. We use it for basement hockey, soft puck's only, and it's great! He loves it!
