5.0 out of 5 stars Blaze through the darkness, March 23, 2010

Plenty bright enough for anything, in the water or not. Maybe not the best shock-resistant light, it rattled around in back of the truck and flickered afterwards. But princeton tec HAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE, for emphasis. Sid, in their warranty dept fixed the switch and even sent it back with new duracell batteries. For free. Lifetime warranty, i think.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice and bright - IF you can turn it on, January 6, 2012
This light is very bright. I own several LED lights and this is the brightest compact I've seen.

Once loaded with the eight "C" batteries it requires, the light does become a bit heavy though. An easy workaround is buying the "C" to "AA" battery adapter and using "AA" batteries instead. That's what I did and the performance seems identical (though the duration may suffer), without all the extra bulk.

The one sore point of this light (and reason it's not 5 stars) is the switch. As others have indicated, it's very hard to use. It is very difficult to master turning the light on with one hand. It's an odd rocker switch that is positioned where your index finger rests and you have to massage it just right to get the light to turn on. One small click too far and you've skipped from low to high power. I would not want to try and turn this light on underwater in the dark!

I have not given the light a full test to see just how long the batteries will... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great dive lamp, November 29, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Very compact very powerful and above all very stylish, which as we all know is most important when diving. But seriously a very good all round flashlight great value for money can't wait to try it inside a wreck.
