I personally are not a huge fan of exercising, but I do enjoy swimming, and decided to use swimming as my exercise program. At first, I got very tired after very few laps, but after starting to use the freestyle snorkel, I can swim much more without getting tired or having to stop every few laps. The difference was incredible for me. I went from swimming about 700m to about 2000 in a matter of days. I enjoy the fact that I can breathe when I want/need, independantly of at what stage of the stroke I am. Since I swim for the exercise, and not competitively, this is a great product. I bought the freestyle snorkel because I've seen some great swimmers all using it so I had to give it a try but I prefer the center mount snorkel. Supposedly the freestyle snorkel is bent to make it harder for water to come in at the top but a lot of water was getting in. (Of course I'm not sure if water came in the top or if my seal around the mouthpiece was not tight enough or how water was getting in.) I'm not giving up on it altogether but i found the center mount snorkel easier to use. 14 of 14 people found the following review helpful Finis Freestyle Snorkel, By Sue (Nashville, TN USA) - See all my reviews |
