They are small in relation to our expectations. The sole is grippy on the board and has prevented me from getting my feet cut while walking to the water. They also keep me a bit warmer. They hurt my toes after a few hours just a little bit, but they seem to be true to size (I have size 9.5 to 10 feet and the 10s work well).
