A brownish rim. The nose initially reminded me of a Musigny from de Vogue rich heady and oaky. How wrong I was! Over time the nose just got deeper and deeper and at one point smelt of ginger biscuits dipped in tea! The palate is sublime, vigorous and beautifully balanced. A stunning mix of minerals, chocolate, fig and blueberry. Incredible complexity, this is an incredible wine which is one of the best I have tasted. Drinking now but could last...
