Having used leather whips of varied quality for 30 years, This was a gift from my cowboy brother-in-law. We both work cattle and know the need for dependable equipment at reasonable price. Plain and simple: you cannot beat this type of whip for real world use. It's durable, requires no oiling, and cracks every time to get the cattle moving. It's lasted twice as long as a whip twice it's price and it's more accurate and louder. Further, because of the extra weight of the waved nylon, it makes that elusive 'double crack' per rotation much more attainable.
