It is WAY smaller than I thought it was. If your child has more than ten toys, this is a waste of money! It is easy to put together but the lid has 2 small pieces of wood glued to the top to keep the lid on and mine came unglued the very first day! We got this as a gift from a very dear friend, but when we opened the box, three of the boards were all broken up on the corners. It was very easy for the pieces of this box to break, and even splinter. We didn't even bother trying to put it together, because the pieces were in such bad shape. The materials are all so weak and cheap. We threw it away and got the Step 2 Bookcase and Storage Chest. Our son LOVES it. He is 17 months old now, and we got it for him when he was 15 months old. He loves to dig around in it and get his toys, and it holds SO many. It's MUCH bigger than this other toy box, and is made of durable plastic so I never have to worry about breakage. No broken pieces. It is very easy to put together (about 5 mins). It is very small which I expected, but not quite as small as it is. The measurements are the outside dimensions and therefore a couple of inches less internally due to the way the box is made. This would be a good toybox for a very young child (with small toys).
