The disc rotates colors (red, green, blue, orange, and pink), and varies the speed at which the lights change. This product may have had an earlier version, which I never tried, but the current version is wonderful. I was super impressed. The disc is lightweight and full size (frisbee), flys well, bright, and continously changes colors about every 3 seconds. When you play this at night the wow factor is definitely there. On the bottom on the frisbee there is a tiny on / off push button feature which contains 2 flat batteries. It seems sturdy, but for added protection I covered the button with a piece of clear packing tape. I got this for $22 with shipping.
